Who decides where items are donated?
Upon receiving a request for assistance, the officers consult with the Ghana country representative, and decide the allocation of items donated to Ghana. The criteria for allocation are:
- Source of funds/equipment and how that person is related to Ghana
- Responsiveness of school authorities in Ghana in providing proposals for assistance.
- Impact of the donation on the recipient institution (greatest need)
- Willingness of the recipients to allow follow-up monitoring and use of donated items
How do I join PIE?
P.I.E. does not have members, but you can participate by:
- donating to the general fund to help schools in Ghana.
- donating to specific schools/regions/ or programs of your choice.
- submitting a request to serve on the advisory board.
