Mayor Jennifer Roberts Declares PIE Day In Charlotte, NC

Charlotte, NC. Mayor Jennifer Roberts proclaims Saturday, 24th, September as PIE day in Charlotte. This proclamation is a recognition of the contributions of Progress In Education, Inc. to the youth of Charlotte.

The proclamation was delivered during the Charlotte City Council’s Business Meeting on September 12th, 2016.

Delivering the proclamation on behalf of Mayor Roberts, Hon. Greg Phipps, representative of Charlotte’s 4th district commended PIE for its contribution to the community and reminded the citizens present of the sisterhood between Charlotte, NC and Kumasi, Ghana.

Mr. Kwasi Sarpong, Board Chair of Progress In Education, Inc. received the proclamation on behalf of the Board of Directors of PIE In his remarks, he thanked the Mayor, the city council for the recognition and expressed his optimism that the proclamation will serve as a catalyst for more partnerships in the city that will benefit the youth of Charlotte.

Mr. Sarpong also welcomed all to support the mission of PIE by attending PIE’s 3rd Annual Gala on PIE Day, Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at the Crown Plaza Executive Park Hotel in Charlotte, NC.
